The MS Walk-A-Thon will be held on Saturday,May 15th, 2010 at Greenfield Lake in Wilmington N.C.. Volunteers should show up at 08:30 on Saturday morning. The race begins at 9 am, this will give you time to set up and be in position for when the race begins. The race coordinators are requesting 7 radio operators for the following positions. One operator to shadow an MS Society staff member at the start and finish line. Three operators at the rest stops (1 operator per rest stop).Two operators to Sag the walkers, one in front, and one in the rear, and one operator to sweep the route to make sure no one is left on route. I worked this event last year, and all I have to say is we had fun working with a great bunch of people.
